I'm James Cunningham, founder of Interconnect Partners. We're a specialist search and recruitment business working with semiconductor and deep tech companies across the UK, Europe and the US.

The day job is simple. I find, approach and place the commercial people who make chip companies grow: VP Sales, Sales Directors, Business Development Managers, Field Applications Engineers (FAEs), Product Marketing, Product Management and senior leadership. That covers retained and contingency search, from one-off key hires to building out a whole sales team in a new region.

My clients range from fabless start-ups and scale-ups to IP and EDA vendors, foundries, analog and power IC companies, photonics and AI hardware businesses, selling into automotive, industrial, data centre and consumer markets.

Networking sits right alongside the recruitment. After years of placing people across the industry, I know who's who, who's moving and who's worth talking to. I'm also building a network of vetted semiconductor specialists that CEOs and founders can call on for advice on fundraising, foundry strategy, go-to-market and more.

Before moving into recruitment I spent eight years in semiconductor engineering at Mitel, Zarlink Semiconductor and X-FAB Semiconductor Foundries. So when I'm searching for someone to sell your silicon, I understand what you're selling.

Based in Berkshire, UK, and placing candidates with clients in the UK, Germany, France, the Nordics, Silicon Valley and across the US.
